How are you going to celebrate Canada’s birthday this July 1st?

Spending time with family

Charades with a Canadian Twist:  Make up your own pictures to act out and have each one represent something Canadian, such as Beaver, Moose, Hockey, or a Landmark.

Serve some Canadian foods: Some popular Canadian dishes that you can make right at home include – Poutine, Peameal Bacon on a bun, Beaver Tails, Butter Tarts, Nanaimo Bars, Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich and Maple Fudge.

A back yard BBQ is always popular with homemade burgers as well.   Yummy!

Play some Canadian sports: Grab the kids and head outside to play some hockey, lacrosse, baseball, or basketball.  Younger children love to play at the park or at splash pads.

Take in some local scenery: Niagara Falls has lots to offer for the family from site seeing at the falls, the flora clock, miniature churches along the Niagara Parkway and lots of fun games and food for the family.

Whatever you do this Canada Day, have fun, and stay safe!
